INDOSPORT.COM – Like making a blunder, here are five players who should have been called up by Louis van Gaal to the Dutch national team for the 2022 World Cup.
Qatar 2022 World Cup is now counting down the days to start its first match. Almost all the contestant countries have confirmed their squads for the biggest football competition.
The latest is the Dutch national team which announced the names of players who will decorate Louis van Gaal’s squad at the 2022 World Cup.
A total of 26 players were called up by the coach who had coached Manchester United. Interestingly, almost all of the players who were called up by Louis van Gaal were still young.
On the defense line, for example, the Dutch national team immediately called young names such as Tyrell Malacia, Jeremie Frimpong and Jurrien Timber.
Meanwhile, in midfield Van Gaal called for young names such as Cody Gakpo, Xavi Simons, and Kenneth Taylor.
Meanwhile, for his attack line, Van Gaal did not forget to call his talented young player, Noa Lang, at the 2022 World Cup.
Not only does he want to use talented young players to fill his squad, Van Gaal also seems to still trust senior players like Daley Blind and Virgil van Dijk.
Then for midfielders, experienced players such as Marten de Roon, Davy Klaassen and Frenkie de Jong are also Van Gaal’s mainstays.
