IIn the Final Four in Gmunden, JC Wimpassing was eliminated in the semifinals despite a 7:7 win against UJZ Mühlviertel.

Meager. Real tight. So the elimination of JC Wimpassing Sparkasse at the Final Four in Gmunden was quite painful. Because against record champion UJZ Mühlviertel there was the end in the semi-finals after a 7:7 – and that only because of the better tie-break (70:67) of the Upper Austrians.

Thus, Aaron Fara’s sensational Ippon victory over world champion Noel Van T’End and the two fight victories of Michael Zeltner and world champion Beka Gviniashvili were not enough for the Lower Austrians in the end. Also because on the side of the victorious Mühlviertler Nikolas Rechberger and the multiple Grand Slam winner Marcus Nyman were each invincible by the judokas of Wimpassinger.
