Including Fajar/Rian, 2 Indonesian doubles were nominated for the 2022 BWF Player of the Year

BOLASPORT.COM – Two Indonesian doubles have been nominated for the 2022 BWF Player of the Year, one of which is Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

The World Badminton Federation (BWF) has released the list of Player of the Year 2022 which is divided into eight categories, Monday (28/11/2022).

Two Indonesian doubles pairs made it into the list from the men’s doubles and mixed doubles numbers.

For the nominations from the men’s doubles, Indonesia has the name pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Fajar/Rian were nominated for BWF Player of the Year 2022 for the category of most improved player of the year, aka the most developed player this year.

In that category, the third-ranked men’s doubles will compete with two other names.

Fajar/Rian’s rivals came from Prannoy HS, India’s men’s singles and South Korea’s women’s doubles, Jeong Na-eun/Kim Hye-jeong.

Fajar/Rian was included in the nomination after being judged capable of showing significant progress in the tournaments they participated in.
