Austria’s judo team missed the targeted quarter-finals at the Mixed European Championships in Mulhouse in France on Saturday with a 4-1 defeat against Italy.
The 23-year-old Maria Höllwart from Salzburg got the honor point in the class over 70 kg against Asya Tavano with Waza-ari. Herbert Wicker (up to 73), Elena Dengg (up to 70) and Daniel Allerstorfer (over 90) each lost. Four weeks ago, the ÖJV also had a World Cup kick-off in mixed in Tashkent.
