When it comes to clothing, Wimbledon has never been merciful. The traditional tournament in London requires that all tennis players compete in white.
This dress code is now relaxed. And in terms of underwear. This can now also be dark for women, as the organizers announced on Thursday. The new regulations should apply from next year.
At this year’s grass classic in Wimbledon, British tennis player Alicia Barnett spoke openly about the stress of having her period during the tournament and then having to wear white underwear.
Wimbledon will take place from July 3rd to 16th in 2023.
