Chemnitz – Die Niners Chemnitz continue to play on the European floor! Coach Rodrigo Pastore’s team won the decisive Europe Cup duel against Hapoel Galil Elion from Israel on Wednesday evening with a clear and impressive score of 111:79 (58:37).

The Saxons secured the group victory with the fourth success in the sixth game. Second-placed Brose Bamberg, who defeated Golden Eagle Ylli 76:60 in Kosovo, also advanced to the next round.
The constellation before the tip-off in the Chemnitz Exhibition Center was clear: both teams needed a win to reach the next group phase.

The Niners will continue in 14 days in the intermediate round of the Europe Cup in one of the four groups with four teams each. It was not clear immediately after the end of the game which countries the Chemnitz team had to travel to this time. Some games of the 6th matchday were still running.
