Communications is still without lifting and added its seventh consecutive defeat

Communications took another wrong step yesterday in the National Basketball League (LNB). As a local, they lost against Oberá Tenis Club (OTC), 78 to 66, and still have not won this season.

The Mercedeño team, which has accumulated seven defeats in the same number of presentations, recovered yesterday the American Skyler Hogan (contributed 15 points) who recovered from an injury, but could not prevent the fall of his team.

The scorers of the match were Facundo Giorgi (Communications) and Charles Mitchel (OTC) who scored 17 points each.

Communications had a good start inside in a very close game. With goals distributed in which Giorgi stood out with two three-pointers, the local team stayed ahead in the first five minutes (13-12).

Oberá bet on a dynamic game that allowed him to run the field and play in the paint with foreigners Justin Gordon and Mitchell who were unbalanced.

In the final two minutes, the locals had turnovers that allowed Oberá to go ahead, however Hogan with a new triple (9 points) tied the game at 23 to close the first quarter.

At the beginning of the second quarter, Oberá once again showed a compelling defense that allowed him to take a nine-point lead, forcing the Communications error and making quick and positive transitions with Matías Sandes as the protagonist in scoring. In three minutes he was ahead, 32 to 23.

Comu went to a zonal defense and although it worked, he could not reflect the recovered balls in attack. With 2.29 minutes remaining, the visit reached the maximum of 10 (39 to 29).

The extended individual defense continued to give results to the visit that went into the break leaving a better image than the locals and winning 42 to 34.

In an erratic start to the complement, the one who settled in better was Oberá, who scored an 11-0 run in four and a half minutes of play to take a considerable distance on the scoreboard.

The local was very poor, did not find the goal from any position. It took him six minutes to get out of the 32 and it was from the free throw line.

In this context, Oberá also took rebounds and was able to run the court. He also hurt with the parked game against an unknown Comu.

In the last two minutes of the third chapter, the locals showed an improvement that allowed them to reduce the difference that became 19 (partially 7-0) to end the visit winning 60-48.

The local comeback in the previous quarter was extended at the beginning of the last period. Comu passed the ball better in attack and was eight behind, but when the offensive gaps returned, Oberá did not forgive and took a distance of 13 points.

The locals defended intensely again and the game was 68-60 with five minutes still to play.

At that time, Comunicaciones did not find the resources to find safe paths to goal, while OTC finished with a 66% effectiveness rate on two-point shots.

The defeat leaves some question marks in Communications that they cannot win and their collective performance shows many irregularities.

For its part, OTC added a new victory and accumulates 5 in 6 presentations
