Budo-Freizeit of BC Hikari from Lauffen: Ahoy to the ninth round

This year’s Budo-Freizeit of BC Hikari from 11.-13. November was all about predatory seafaring. As so often in previous years, almost 60 judo and ju-jutsuka from Lauffen traveled to Ebersberg Castle in Auenwald (Backnang district) to hold their annual club weekend retreat. Detached from the actual training and martial arts activities, two and a half days full of fun, games and team building were planned for all participants and supervisors under the motto “Pirates”.
In addition to the classic program items such as a visit to the indoor swimming pool, a campfire with bread on a stick and “chocolate kissing competition”, this year there was a “life action role play” (LARP for short) on the topic of “buccaneers”, in which all participants were able to immerse themselves in a kind of real-time theater story .
The consistently positive response from participants beaming with joy leaves no doubt that this (now the ninth Budo leisure time) can also be considered a complete success.
A big thank you goes to all co-organizers and participants for a successful team effort, which will hopefully be celebrated for the tenth time next year.
