Prior to his appointment at FC Barcelona in November 2021, Xavi had received another interesting proposal. Brazil had indeed contacted him during his time at the Qatari club Al-Sadd (2019-2021).

“It was a huge opportunity. I could have made history by becoming the first European to work for the Brazilian selection. But it didn’t happen. I really wanted to become a Barca coach, it was my dream and I’m there,” assumed the Spaniard.
