Bennedict Mathurin wins his first duel against the Raptors

Mathurin scored 15 points and helped the Indiana Pacers beat Chris Boucher and the Toronto Raptors 118-104. Boucher had 19 points in the loss and had 7 rebounds.

The Pacers outscored 36-14 in the final 12 minutes.

The game changed when we showed a desire to win,” Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said. We found a way to complain about all the distractions in the first half. It was annoying. It is not the culture that we build. The second half looked like us. It’s a victory that feels good.

Buddy Hield scored 22 points and Myles Turner had 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win.

Although Tyrese Haliburton only managed 3 of his 14 shots, he managed 15 assists.

OG Anunoby scored 26 points for the Raptors, who led 90-82 after three quarters. The final quarter was Toronto’s worst this season.

We had a really bad fourth quarter, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said. Everything worked for them, and nothing worked for us.

The Raptors were notably deprived of Pascal Siakam, injured, and Fred VanVleet, sick.
