ATP – Finals > Toni Nadal, coach of Auger-Aliassime: “I spoke to him and asked him: ‘What is the difference between Nadal, Djokovic and the other players?’. They win when they play badly. It’s the big difference”

Coach‐consultant to Félix Auger‐Aliassime for a year and a half now alongside the Frenchman Frédéric Fontang, Toni Nadal recently spoke about his collaboration with the Canadian in the columns of theExpress. And seeing that Félix sometimes had trouble winning matches when he was not having a great day, the most famous uncle on the circuit gave him valuable advice, taking as an example his nephew and Novak Djokovic.

“I spoke to him and asked him: ‘What is the difference between Nadal, Djokovic and the others?’. They win when they play badly. That’s the big difference. Things don’t always go well in matches. You have to be attentive when these players are not doing well. Djokovic lost two sets to zero against Sinner at Wimbledon. I told my children that he was far from losing again. You know he’ll hang on all the way if given the slightest chance. Sometimes others don’t have that. »
