BRA – A commendable intervention promoted by Basket Team 71 Abet Bra, which celebrated its end last Wednesday in Piazza Lenti. The plant has a particular genesis, as its concrete base was laid to cover an asbestos landfill when the Municipality built the garden with the surrounding roads and car parks. The baskets have been refurbished and equipped with padded protections, with colorful resins on the ground to protect the court decorated with graphics by designer Alessano Mendini made available by Abet Spa. The work carried out by a specialized company was paid for by a contribution given to the group sports from Banca di Cherasco. At the inauguration with the local authorities, the president Abet Bruno Mazzola, the BCC director Marco Carelli and “old glories” of the segmented ball, Gianfranco Berrino, guide of Team 71, announced that the association will take charge of the maintenance of the pitch and other will soon be subject to similar treatment.
