Djokovic could win the highest prize in tennis history this Sunday: $4,740,300 (about 4.8 euros). When asked if he thinks about the amount of dollars at stake, the Serb responded cautiously. “No. Only euros and dinars”, he joked before giving his true opinion.

“All public information. Of course, people can see how much we are earning. What the media is not writing about is all the taxes and also the other expenses. But that’s okay. I can’t sit here and talk about the money like a problem in my life or something like that. I have been very lucky. It comes as a consequence of my tennis and the success that I have had, along with my family and my team”, he explained.

“I think every euro I’ve earned has been through a lot of sweat and tears. I don’t take anything for granted because I know what it feels like to have nothing on the table, five family members, war, sanctions… No Let’s forget where I came from and the time I grew up in,” he added.

“I know exactly the opposite side, which helps me in life, I think, to appreciate more everything I earn,” he said on this subject.

The victory over Fritz returns him to the final of the Masters Cup four years later. “I’m very happy to be able to compete for another great trophy, one of the biggest we have in our sport.
