German athletics mourns the loss of Michael Möllenbeck. The former discus thrower died at the age of 52 “after a long illness”, as his former club TV Wattenscheid announced on Monday. Möllenbeck finished third at the World Championships in 2001 and 2005, and the father of a daughter also won the bronze medal at the 2022 European Championships in Munich.
