Adidas Adilicious x Orinoco is the name of a new launch from the house of sneakers inspired by the national cuisine, particularly Taquería Orinoco, which has become an essential place for both locals and tourists seeking to discover the national essence. This –undoubtedly– is one of the most unexpected launches of the house and a collaboration that we would never have expected to see resulting in silhouettes that any lover of Mexican food –particularly tacos– will want to have.
The Orinoco Taqueriaa franchise of taquerias in various locations in the Mexico City (with the most traveled being the one found in the Colonia Roma Norte) is the collaborator of Adidas in this release representing Mexican culinary quality. The focus of its menu is tacos, the cornerstone of the Mexican diet, and which are recognized as one of the most popular in the city. Along with the recent Day of the Dead Adidas, Mexico will have this other special release.
This collaboration is part of the campaign of Adidas Adiliciouswhich will have 11 silhouettes of Adidas being reinvented taking inspiration from different important and key restaurants around the world. In Mexico, the Orinoco Taqueriawhere –as the statement mentions– “where you can feel the history and heritage from the very walls of the restaurant in the small but cozy space that has housed millions of taco lovers and celebrities over the years” .

In accordance with Adidas Originals the restaurants that participated in the collection were selected for their history and influence in the local community, not only for their gastronomic impact, but their role in the people and their memories.
The launch sneakers have all the spirit of the iconic restaurant: “To represent the essence of Orinoco, the upper part of the silhouette is covered in white leather. This is combined with laces that are like tacos, customizable, referring to the different types of sauces with which each person can customize their tacos in Orinoco. There are also red accents on the tongue, heel and center panel.”
