A bright future is predicted for him! Get to know: the luminary of the “Boxing Academy” – pig farmer Richards Ozols

“Preparing for the casting of the second season, I both continued to stay in shape and tried to talk to people more so that I could say something more than ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in front of the camera.

Yes, I follow the advice of the mentors – I have read several books in the meantime and continue to do so. At the moment I am reading the book “The Gospel of the Eel”, Richard reveals that the boxing show has led him to a new hobby that is completely unrelated to sports.

See yourself among the finalists

And perseverance has been crowned with success – in the second season Richards easily entered the top fifteen, although, as mentor Kristaps Zutis has already emphasized in interviews, the level of preparation of the participants is already higher in the second season. Richard agrees.

“It would definitely have been easier for me physically in the first season. There, both the physical tests were easier and the opponents were not so strong. This season, the guys are already more seriously prepared, with experience in martial arts, unlike the participants of the first season,” says Richard.

“I think that Richard could “seat in the ring” all the participants of this and last season. We are all a step below him,” coach Reinis Garkalns has already said in an interview with “tv3.lv”.

Richard himself is also confident of his abilities.

Member of “Boxing Academy”.

“Do I see myself among the best? Definitely!”

A proud pig farmer with no free time

The guy’s daily life is planned almost minute by minute and is spent at work and training. “As I say, I work, train and sleep. There is no time for anything else,” laughs the athlete.

He is engaged in MMA at a high level, but earns money as a pig farmer.

“I work for one of the largest companies specializing in fattening pigs. My task is to take care of the little piglets on a daily basis – feed them, take care of them, make sure that no one has a dislocated leg or any other problems, and then pass them on accordingly.

It’s a big responsibility – basically I’m the boss’s right-hand man,” says Richard about the duties of a pig farmer. Yes, someone may wince when they hear the name of this position, but Richard is not ashamed of his work.
