27-30: Little success condemns the Base

Unión Financiera leaves the match against Tubos Villa de Aranda empty after losing 27-30. The carbayones, who for a large part of the minutes, stood up to the team from Burgos, were not successful in the final stretch of the match and conceded, for the first time in the season, two consecutive defeats.

El Aranda entered the meeting with one more march. The partial of 2-6 after six minutes of play showed it. After a timeout requested by Ricardo Margareto, Unión Financiera Base Oviedo was able to react and put up a fight against the Burgos team. In the following minutes, with great defenses and success in front of goal, the carbayones turned the score around 8-7.

The match entered a phase of equality in which the two teams alternated advantages. The locals, with a great Sergio Sarasola, managed to get ahead with six minutes to go before the break. However, at halftime Aranda was in charge.

In the second half, the tables turned. The Base started better, thanks to a successful defense and some good minutes from Rubén Rozada, which allowed the Asturians to be three goals ahead. However, this time it was the visitors who knew how to close the match. Aranda rowed to, first tie the game and then take the lead. Unión Financiera’s lack of success (four goals in just 20 minutes) ended up weighing down Margareto’s team.
