Is Flick suggesting a World Cup hammer here?
Before the top game between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern, national coach Hansi Flick gave Werder striker Niclas Füllkrug (29) hope of a World Cup nomination.
The 57-year-old said on “Sky”: “I saw him yesterday. What he does makes sense. We still have a little time. He’s on a roll, he’s doing well. (…) He has certain qualities that we don’t have in this form.”

Flick was a guest at the Bremen game in Hoffenheim on Friday evening when Füllkrug scored the late 2-1 winner with a penalty and provided the assist to make it 1-0. It was the attacker’s eighth goal of the season.

Flick also keeps an eye on 2014 world champion Mats Hummels. “Mats and I are in exchange. What we say stays between us. He’s in very good form this season. You can see he’s fit. I’m pleased that he’s at a very good level,” emphasized Flick.
