Coni and the Lazio Region bring the ‘Sport in Piazza’ event to Fabrica in Rome

FABRICA DI ROMA – The sports promotion tour ‘Sport in the square’ that Coni Lazio carries out thanks to the memorandum of understanding ‘Coni and the Region, sports companions’ Saturday 1st October will make a stop at the Fabrica di Roma.

The sports village will be set up in Mother Teresa square of Calcutta and will host over ten sports stations open to the public, in particular to students of the elementary and middle school who will be able to practice sports guided by qualified instructors from associated Federations and Disciplines.

Everyone will therefore have the opportunity to experience moments of sport and well-being, thanks to this event promoted by the municipal administration. In practice, the technicians will be available to citizens of all ages to let them practice sport for free.

The sporting disciplines present are: weightlifting, rugby, volleyball, track and field, tennis, rowing, modern pentathlon badminton, cycling, 5-a-side and 11-a-side football, handball, martial arts, basketball and chess. An offer that guarantees all groups of citizens to spend an appointment full of fun and socialization.

At 12.30 the institutional moment is foreseen with the delivery of the diplomas by the Coni with the provincial delegate Ugo Baldi and the technical coordinator Professor Adriano Ruggiero to local companies. The deputy mayor Massimo Tranquilli will be present for the municipality of Fabrica di Roma and the councilor with the delegation to sport Marco Bongarzone who was the soul of this event.

‘The attention of our municipal administration for the sporting life of its citizens is always high – said the latter – this event is a useful tool to facilitate contacts and stimulate people to try their hand at sports’.
