Victor Dubuisson, finally absent in Portugal, can he lose his card?

Definitely, Victor Dubuisson’s 2022 season will not have been a long calm river. The Cannois, who was still on the Portugal Masters Entry List on Tuesday, is not in the departure list unveiled this Wednesday morning.

End clap for Victor Dubuisson who will not finally be at the start on Thursday of the last tournament of the regular season of the DP World Tour in which he could take part. The former world number 15 withdrew on Wednesday morning. No reason was given as the withdrawal came before the start of the tournament, officials from the European Tour Group told us.

Consequently he will not be able to score points in the event won by Thomas Pieters in 2021.

A minimal advance

After his repeated abandonments you know disqualification after the first round last week, Dubuisson’s 2022 season ends in “boudin water”. Hope the current 114th with 479 points on the counter of Ranking du DP World Tour don’t have to regret it.

He is indeed threatened to finish beyond 117th place. His lead over the 118th and first “relegated”, Darius Van Driel (459.7 points), present in Vilamoura like most players in danger of losing their right to play*, is only 19.3 points! Which is approximately equivalent to a 35th place in the Portuguese tournament.

* Kofstad (115th / 474.6 pts), Janewattananond (116th / 466.7 pts), Garcia-Rodriguez (117th / 464 pts) are at the start just like Ricardo Gouveia (120th / 437.4pts), Laporta (121st / 434, 1pts), Paratore (122nd / 430.3 pts) and Garcia-Heredia (123rd / 428.8pts).
