The union. The city takes on color on the occasion of Pink October

For the second year, the Ori Heitiare Tahiti association, in partnership with the league against cancer and the Communal center for social action of the town hall of L’Union, invites, within the framework of Pink October, the Unionnais to a family walk, Sunday October 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lake Saint-Caprais. This sporting and festive day is part of this major communication campaign aimed at raising public awareness of breast cancer screening. “The city is happy to be a partner in the initiative led by Eddy, and the Ori Heitiare association is very satisfied to have been able to unite other associations in the city. This positive synergy is thus put to the benefit of the prevention, information and collection for the benefit of the League against cancer”, rejoices Karen Grégoire, assistant in charge of sport and health action. Participation is free but in order to welcome participants in the best conditions, it is best to register on the helloasso website until Saturday, October 15

; by registering at the reception of the town hall before October 15 or on the day of the race between 2 and 3 p.m. The event is festive and the organizers recommend dressing in the colors of Polynesia “Wear your sarongs, flowered shirts, crowns and necklaces of flowers, and your best smile!”

In the program : Of 10 to 12 hours : Awareness-raising and educational workshops, conferences, debates, etc. 12 to 2 p.m. : Lunch break – refreshment bar and catering – musical entertainment. Of 2 to 4 p.m. : Associations are free to offer whatever they wish: initiation, lessons, demonstrations… (the Archery association will practice on its land). Of 4 to 5 p.m.
