The Latvian U-16 women’s handball team lost twice to their Lithuanian peers at the weekend in Riga, the Latvian Handball Federation (LHF) informs. Latvia’s young handball players lost to their neighbors with 29:39 (19:30) and 29:40 (10:23).
Agnese Virubka scored eight and Elīza Bilkšte five goals in the first match for the Latvian national team, while in the second match Bilkšte stood out with 12 goals, Amanda Dūmas, Viktorija Ziediņa and Līva Piterniece scoring four each.
It has already been reported that the Latvian women’s national team defeated the Lithuanian national team (21:17 and 29:28) in two test matches at the “Rimi” Olympic Center over the weekend.
