MALANG, KOMPAS.TV – Arema FC president Gilang Widya Pramana said the sanction of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Disciplinary Commission in the form of a one-season ban for Arema was very burdensome.

“Our sanctions can’t play anymore home until the end of the season, it’s actually very burdensome,” said Gilang in Breaking News KOMPAS TV, Sunday (2/10/2022).

He considered that the ban on playing at the Kanjuruhan Stadium against Arema until the end of the season was burdensome for three reasons.

“First, we can’t get income from tickets,” he said.

“Secondly, sponsors will also make a lot of complaints, because when we play in matches, home a lot of activation activities are carried out there,” he continued.

“Third, when we play home“Usually we have a 12th supporter who becomes extra spirit,” explained Gilang.

The punishment from the PSSI Komdis for the tragedy at the Kanjuruhan Stadium, said Gilang, was enough to make Arema FC do some introspection and change for the better.

“Prohibition of punishment for not playing home during the end of the season it was actually enough for us to be able to introspect and change for the better,” said Gilang.

However, he said that his party had not yet received a clear sanction from the PSSI Komdis.

“In the future, we will meeting together, responding to sanctions from Komdis, because we haven’t received clear sanctions from Komdis,” he said,

After getting clear sanctions, said Gilang, Arema’s management team will discuss the next steps.

“After receiving clear sanctions from Komdis, we will meeting determine what the future strategy will be,” said Gilang.
