That’s never happened before! Mega sum for BVB star Jude Bellingham in conversation | Sports

As intoxicating as the Bellingham gala against Stuttgart (5:0/2 goals) was, the following lines will be sobering for all BVB fans…

Hoping that England superstar Jude Bellingham (19) will continue to play in Dortmund beyond the coming summer makes about as much sense as collecting coupons for freeway toilets.

Despite the contract until 2025, the decisive question is no longer whether Bellingham (market value: 90 million euros) is already going in 2023, but only: at what price and where? A drama from a Bundesliga perspective…

If the currently most sought-after player in the world continues to develop like a rocket, the BVB bosses around Hans-Joachim Watzke (62) and manager Sebastian Kehl (42) could even break the transfer barrier of 150 million euros for the first time! Industry insiders are certain: Real, Man City and Chelsea will compete, at the end of which the previous transfer record (Dembélé for around 120 million euros to Barcelona) will be smashed.

► As a reminder: in 2020 Dortmund paid around 27 million euros for Bellingham to Bermingham. If the midfield leader is not seriously injured, the BVB makers have never invested better!

But the Bellingham truth also includes: Borussia cannot break the vicious circle of the eternal seller club. Instead of being able to develop a team in the long term like in Klopp’s times, Dortmund remains the ultimate instantaneous heater for super talents. A lucrative business model, but rarely a title model in a league with record champions Bayern.

That would come as a surprise! Does this BVB star solve our biggest World Cup problem?

Why is this always the case in the end? Because Dembélé, Sancho, Haaland and Co. would rather go abroad than extend their salary at BVB for double or triple the salary. Instead of 10 or 15 million euros in Dortmund, Bellingham will soon be able to easily tow away 30 million euros and more per season in England.

Dortmund doesn’t want to and can’t go on with this salary madness.
