Tata Martino will have 15 sparring partners during the World CupHalftime

The Mexican team is already concentrated at the High Performance Center with a view to the World Cup of Qatar 2022 and although Gerardo Martino already has in mind who the 26 players will be who defend the Tricolor jersey in the fair, but also the footballers who will be sparring partners during the tour and the World Cup.

Tata Martino’s idea is to have 15 young footballers what they can be part of the next process towards 2026and that for different circumstances their level was no longer enough for them be part of the process to this World Cup.

Elements like Emilio Lara, Pavel Perez, Jesus Orozco, Victor Guzman, Fidel Ambriz, Heriberto Jurado and Roman Martinez, they are just some of the items that they already have permission from their clubs to be part of the sparring partners that Tata Martino will have.

Some players like Lara and Guzmán were part of the process and despite their youth and the fact that they are starters in their clubs, it was not enough for them to earn a place in the National Team and they were only observed in friendly matches outside the FIFA Date.

This group of soccer players intends to have an experience accompanying the National Team and can arrive with some knowledge at process towards 2026 which will begin in 2023 when they play the remainder of the Concacaf Nations League Group Stage.

Problems to be able to join the Sparrings group

The Mexican Football Federation has had to enter into different negotiations with the clubs because these they don’t want to part with their players just for them to train with the Mexican National Team, and that’s because several teams want their players to focus on the preseason for Closing 2023.

During the time that the World Cup is being played, several clubs will hold various friendly matches as part of their preparation for the next tournament, as happened in 2020 when a tournament between eight teams was held in Ciudad Universitaria.
