Strict rules for Ajax fans in Naples: in the photo, waiting for hours, no lighters and belts

Ajax players who are going to visit the game between Napoli and Ajax in Naples will have to deal with a lot of rules from the local authorities. The supporters are photographed with their ID, are not allowed to bring lighters or belts with large buckles into the stadium and alcohol is not sold. The latter is also the case in many stadiums. The first supporters are also not allowed to leave the stadium until one hour after the game. All for safety.

The at least two thousand Ajax players who travel to Naples were told during the Ajax ticket sale that the visit is not without risk. In previous duels, opponents of Napoli were attacked for no reason by the supporters of the Italian club. Ajax advised the supporters not to walk through the city in their Ajax shirt.

The authorities in Naples are also taking a lot of measures so that things cannot get out of hand between the two groups of supporters, reports Ajax Life. For example, the first Ajax players have to gather about four hours in advance, around 3 p.m., to go to the stadium. This is done at the Stazione Martittima, about 10 kilometers from the Napoli stadium. However, for safety reasons, the bus detours and takes an hour to arrive. Before boarding the buses, the police can search supporters. Everyone with an identity document is also captured on video by the local police.

At least one hour after the game in the box

At the stadium, the Ajax players are searched one more time. Lighters and belts with a large buckle are prohibited. In the stadium itself, the bar will remain closed for the entire match. Smoking is allowed again, but you have to find out for yourself how to light your cigarette without a lighter.

Once the match is over, there will be a hold-up procedure of at least one hour. When the Ajax supporters are finally allowed to leave the stadium, they will be brought back to the Stazione Martittima, but the return journey is expected to be a bit shorter. Depending on the number of buses available, the transportation of all supporters may also take some time.
