It is Karim Benzema, who tomorrow in Paris, barring sensational surprises, will receive the Ballon d’Or, the protagonist of today’s ‘Clasico’ in which Real Madrid beat Barcelona 3-1 at the Bernabeu, isolating himself at the command of La Liga, with 25 points in 9 days against 22 of the eternal rivals. The French striker scored one of his three goals, the first, while the Var canceled out a second, which would have been Real’s 3-0. The first half ended 2-0 with a goal also from Valverde. In the second half, after the cancellation of Benzema’s goal, Barça scored a7 ‘from the end with Ferran Torres and Real’s third goal with Rodrygo from a penalty in the minutes of added time. For Benzema there was also, at 43 ‘st, a real standing ovation when Carlo Ancelotti removed the Frenchman from the field and replaced him with Asensio. Now ‘Karim the Dream’ will fly to Paris for the ceremony tomorrow evening at the ‘du Chatelet’ theater.
