Boston Celtics player Marcus Smart claims Philadelphia 76ers player Joel Embiid tried to break his arm.

The incident took place during last night’s game, where the Celtics celebrated a 126-117 victory. At the beginning of the third quarter, after Smart’s collision with Embiid, tensions started on the court, in the resolution of which both the referees and the other basketball players were involved.

“I went for the rebound, then I tried to intercept it. The referee’s whistle blew. I stop, my hand is stuck and Embiid is trying to break it. And then I’m the only one who gets a technical note in this episode,” Smart was surprised.

“I shouldn’t talk about it anymore, if I go on, I could get a three or four game ban. I am the best defensive player of the season and to be treated like that is painful,” said the American, at the same time emphasizing that the experience allowed him to control himself and not escalate the conflict.
