Madness: The last coach who sat on the bench at Pott-Verein for more than two years is Mirko Slomka (2006-’08/currently without a club, by the way). In 108 games he managed a strong point average of 1.81. To date, there have been an unbelievable 23 changes of coach (interim solutions included).

The fact that royal blue can still inspire a coach like ex-Bochum Thomas Reis (49) as Kramer’s successor under the current conditions must (actually) be seen as a success.
