He returned with everything and this year more than 900 athletes from Salta are the ones who will participate in the Evita National Games, who were fired at the DELMI stadium by Governor Gustavo Sáenz and the Minister of Tourism and Sports Mario Peña.

“In Salta we bet on and support sport as a state policy,” said the Governor, who wished success to the boys representing 25 municipalities in the province, who will participate in several of the 65 tournament disciplines.

“Be proud to represent our colors and remember that beyond the results, this experience gives you the opportunity to learn, share, enjoy and practice the sport you love”, said Sáenz and assured: “We will continue to promote sport because it teaches values ​​and every time a boy practices it he moves away from the dangers of the street”.

For his part, Minister Peña indicated that “sport is an investment and that is why it was taken as a State policy to generate changes that are permanent”, with the promotion of sports practices in the different spaces that the province has to foster ties of belonging, recreation and development.

After being fired by the Governor, the 15 groups that transport the athletes undertook the trip to Mar del Plata to participate in the Evita 2022 National Games, which after two years of forced absence due to the pandemic, will be held again in Mar del Plata. from October 24 to 29 in youth sports and adapted sports

Older Adults will participate in San Luis from November 7 to 11.



The Evita Games are aimed at boys, girls and young people from 10 to 18 years old and athletes from Salta will participate in the following disciplines and in the under 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 categories: Aquathlon, Judo, Rugby, Chess, Karate, Athletics, Futsal, Soccer 11, Olympic Lifting, Taekwondo, Badminton, Soccer 7, Tennis, Basketball 3 vs 3, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Basketball 5 vs 5 Artistic Gymnastics, Swimming, Shooting, Boxing, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Artistic Swimming, Archery, Canoeing Gymnastics, Trampoline, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Figure Skating, Beach Volleyball, Cycling Beach Handball, Skating Race, Mountain Biking, Paddle Ball Hockey.

People with disabilities will compete in the following disciplines: Athletics, Swimming, Boccia, Goalball, Football for the blind, Table Tennis, and Parapowerlifting.

Older Adults will compete in Tejo, Toad, Chess, Truco, Newcom, Orienteering and Padel.

In the classification process that was developed in the 60 municipalities, more than 22,000 people participated, including boys, girls, young people, older adults and people with disabilities.

The games

They were born in 1948 with the impulse of Eva Perón and doctor Ramón Carrillo; they were banned along with democracy. Although there were some subsequent attempts to reinstall them, it was only after 2001 that they returned to the scene in Santa Fe with the participation of 11 provinces, including Salta.

The province has participated uninterruptedly, taking children from all the municipalities of Salta.

This Youth modality constitutes a program to strengthen formative sports and physical education in Argentina, but also a platform for values ​​education. Teamwork, personal effort, respect for others, solidarity, the ability to overcome and fair play are promoted in these Games, so that each participant can transfer them to their daily lives.
