[２５日 ロイター] – A Russian court on Thursday dismissed the appeal of US women’s basketball player Brittney Greiner, 31, who was sentenced to nine years in prison for drug possession and smuggling.
Greiner and his lawyers called for an acquittal, or at least a reduced sentence, saying the sentence was unfairly heavy.

Greiner was sentenced in August to nine years in prison after being detained in February for possession of a cannabis oil-containing cannabis cartridge while entering Russia.
