CASE Cristiano Ronaldo against Everton’s young children’s fans met a new chapter. Previously, the Manchester United superstar was caught slamming the cellphone of a small child, a lover of Everton, in April 2022.

In the aftermath of the case, the English Football Federation (FA) gave an indictment to Cristiano Ronaldo. However, according to news circulating, CR7 (Cristiano Ronaldo’s nickname) will oppose the FA charge.

This was known directly from the Manchester United coach, Erik Ten Hag. The Dutchman confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo would challenge the charges given by the FA.

As a reminder, this case occurred after Manchester United lost to Everton at Goodison Park in the 2021-2022 Premier League. The match which took place on April 9, 2022, ended with the defeat of the Red Devils with a score of 0-1.

Surprisingly, Cristiano Ronaldo hit the child’s hand until the cellphone he was holding fell. The latest news says that the child’s hand was bruised from a hit by Cristiano Ronaldo.

The action went viral because there were other Everton fans who recorded the incident. For this reason, Cristiano Ronaldo has also received criticism from a number of publics.

He also received a stern warning from the local police who accused the action of assault and violence. He has also deeply apologized to the child, either directly or through police mediation.

Even so, Cristiano Ronaldo could not be separated from the FA’s indictment. The FA charged Cristiano Ronaldo with a breach of FA Rule E3 related to inappropriate behavior and/or violence. Reportedly, the FA will undergo a hearing related to this case in the near future.

However, Erik Ten Hag firmly stated that the charge would be opposed by the player. He was ready to help all the needs of the player facing this charge.

“We talked about that. He won’t accept it,” said Erik Ten Hag, quoted by the Daily Mail page, quoted on Thursday (10/13/2022).

“I want to support him as best I can,” said the Dutchman.

Based on news from the British media, the FA will open a trial in this case on Monday 17 October 2022. There the punishment will be decided, it can be in the form of a ban, fine, or other warning to CR7.
