Arsenal loanee injured in knife attack

Knife attack in Milan!

An Italian (46) stabbed several people in a shopping center on Thursday evening. At least five were injured, one died!

Among the injured: Spanish professional footballer Pablo Marí (29), who is currently on loan from Arsenal London to Italian first division club AC Monza. He was taken to a hospital in a rescue helicopter. His condition is said to be stable.

According to reports, the dead man is the cashier (30) of a supermarket in the mall. He died on the way to the hospital.

According to initial findings, investigators ruled out a terrorist background. Passers-by overpowered the man after the fact in a supermarket. He was then arrested by the Carabinieri.

According to the Italian newspaper “La Repubblica”, he had taken the knife from a supermarket shelf – and then stabbed customers apparently indiscriminately. He was being treated for depression, among other things.

An eyewitness told the newspaper: “We were in the bar and thought it was a robbery because we saw some boys and a woman running. Then we started seeing more and more people with confused faces and we realized something serious had happened.”
