Third in the standings, Brest validated its qualification for a European competition last Sunday by winning (5-4) at the end of a match full of twists and turns against neighboring Rennes. It now remains to be seen whether Brest will play in the Conference League, Europa League… or even the Champions League.
All this will depend on the results of its direct opponents in Ligue 1 but above all on those of the Bretons themselves. The final sprint is launched and Éric Roy’s men welcome FC Nantes with three games remaining. Nantais currently 14th in the standings, three points ahead of play-off Metz and who remain in two matches without a victory (a defeat against Rennes and a draw against Montpellier).
In the first leg, Brest won two goals to zero at La Beaujoire and hopes to do just as well in their stadium.
