Orange starts as number eight in the world at the World Cup, Brazil first on FIFA list Football

The Dutch national team maintains itself in eighth place in the FIFA ranking. The Orange squad dealt with both Poland (0-2) and Belgium (1-0) in the Nations League last month. Brazil still leads the dance on the list, ahead of Belgium and Argentina. It is the last FIFA ranking before the start of the World Cup.

The only change in the top ten is that Italy is now sixth at the expense of Spain. The former country is the only team in the top ten to shine next month due to absence from the World Cup in Qatar.

In the past month, the Netherlands made the most progress in terms of points of the top ten countries. The victories over Poland and Belgium yielded 15.10 points. It turned out not to be enough to climb further on the list.

Scotland (from 45 to 40) and Azerbaijan (from 128 to 123) won the most ground. If we look at the higher regions, the rise in Croatia is noticeable. The Balkan country exchanges the fifteenth for the twelfth position.

For the Orange, the World Cup starts on November 21 with a game against Senegal, the number eighteen in the world. The global number 44 Ecuador (November 25) and the global number 50 Qatar (November 29) are the other opponents in the group stage.
