Party with beer and pizza in Bruges dressing room after qualifying, Verhaeghe: “Mata treats” – “And then I send the bill to the chairman”
Club Brugge played a 0-0 draw on the Atlético Madrid field last night, but afterwards it was a big party in the dressing room. And rightly so, because thanks to the draw, Blauw-Zwart qualified for the knockout phase of the Champions League for the first time in club history. Chairman Verhaeghe came over and had a chat with Mata, Vanaken enjoyed a slice of pizza and Mignolet showed off his well-deserved man of the match trophy. “You have to be very good as a keeper to win it”, ‘Big Si’ winked.
