Mitchell anota 32; Cavs vapulean a Bulls

CHICAGO (AP) — Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points and the Cleveland Cavaliers thrashed the Chicago Bulls 128-96 on Saturday to sour their first home game of the season.

Mitchell flirted with the triple double, totaling nine rebounds and eight assists. He had scored 31 points in his debut with Cleveland.

A three-time All-Star, Mitchell arrived from Utah in a colossal trade, raising hopes in Cleveland. Against Chicago, he hit four 3-pointers.

Evan Mobley scored 16 points. Kevin Love and Cedi Osman scored 15 apiece.

Love added five of his team’s 16 3-pointers and grabbed 12 rebounds. The Cavs did get an easy win after losing in the season opener in Toronto.

The win came despite star guard Darius Garland missing the game with an eye injury.

Zach LaVine led Chicago with 23 points after missing the first two games as the team tries to care for his left knee, which was operated on in May.
