Miryang City, the Holy Land of the Patriots Strikes the Arrow of ‘The Missionary Ambassador’

The 3rd Miryang Market Period National Men’s and Women’s Archery Competition was held with great success

[아시아경제 영남취재본부 김욱 기자] From the 15th to the 17th in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, the holy land of Ambassador Myeongseong’s national defense, the 3rd Miryang Market Period National Men’s and Women’s Archery Competition was held with great success at Miryang City’s Gukgung Stadium.

A total of 1,180 athletes from 14 cities and counties participated in this competition, and it was held in both team and individual competitions (senior, senior, and women’s divisions). As a result of this tournament, Mu Wi-jeong of Damyang-gun won the championship, Lee Soon-ju of Haman Baek I-jeong took first place in the senior division (15th class), Kim San-jeong Kim’s Dong-su Park took first place in the senior division (15th class), and Haman Baek I-jeong’s Joe Yi-bun took the women’s division first. They each took 1st place (out of 14).

Mayor of Miryang Park Il-ho said, “We welcome archers from all over the country to visit Miryang, the hub city of Yeongnam, in the season of fruitfulness. I hope that this competition will further enhance their pride as archery users and become a place of friendship and harmony among archery practitioners. I will try to make this happen,” he said.

The city of Miryang is attracting attention from sportspeople across the country by holding various top-level sports competitions in Korea, including badminton competitions, throughout the four seasons.
