Bara wants to go for free players
Plagued by financial worries in recent years, Bara has used several economic levers to achieve its last transfer window. But the Barcelona management will not have the same room for maneuver at the end of the season. It will therefore concentrate on recruiting free players, as general manager Mateu Alemany admitted during a meeting organized last week.
Like the signings of Franck Kessi, Andreas Christensen, Marcos Alonso and Hector Bellerin, all of whom arrived free this summer, the Blaugrana thus wish to focus on the recruitment of elements under contract until June 2023 during the next summer transfer window. And there are many of them on the shelves of Barcelona leaders.
A studied Messi return
This Tuesday, the Catalan press evokes the files closely followed by the management of FC Barcelona. Without surprise, Lionel Messi is part of this list. Paris Saint-Germain have every intention of renewing their Argentine star (who has an optional year in his contract), but Bara is studying his possible return to Catalonia next summer, two years after his departure. In midfield, Bara’s interest in Ilkay Gndogan (Manchester City) remains relevant. The Catalan club has other tempting tracks like Youri Tielemans (Leicester), much courted in England, and N’Golo Kant (Chelsea), who has not yet reached an agreement for an extension and could leave the Blues. The profiles of jorginho (Chelsea) et Near Keta (Liverpool) are also popular in Catalonia.
Finally, in addition to Messi, the Blaugrana’s attacking tracks lead Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) and especially Marco Asensio (Real Madrid), who would already have a pre-agreement with the Blaugrana on a four-year contract, according to RAC1 radio.
