Les Bleues sink 3-0 in Sweden during a friendly and chain the setbacks

Second defeat in two games for the band to Corinne Deacon during this session of friendly matches, in order to prepare for the next World Cup.

The French women’s football team lost 3-0 against Sweden on Tuesday in Gothenburg in a preparation match for the 2023 World Cup, four days after losing 2-1 in Germany.

The French have never suffered two defeats in a row since the start of coach Corinne Deacon’s mandate in 2017. They also conceded the fastest goal in their history after 24 seconds by Filippa Angeldahl (1st), before give in to Amanda Ilestedt (59th) and Madelen Janogy (78th).

Les Bleues finished the match in numerical inferiority after the red card received in the 74th minute by central defender Aïssatou Tounkara.
