“JeNo-2” overcomes the resistance of “Rockets Sr”, “Veterani/DHLV” starts with a loss
On Friday evening, two games were played in the Riga Floorball League (RFL) tournament.
“RTU/Rockets-2” hosted “Veterans/DHLV” at home in the Pepsi Center and ended a three-game losing streak with their first win of the season (7:5). Playing coach Klāvs Stāls scored five points for the home team, with four goals and one assist, while Katrīne Shleiva was the most productive player in the visiting team, with three goals.
In the parallel game, FK “JeNo-2” in Svete hosted “Rockets Sr”. The home team managed to break the resistance of the Riga players only in the third period of the match, celebrating the victory with the result 9:5. In “JeNo-2” ranks, the most productive player with five points was Roberts Butkevich, who scored three goals and gave two assists. Victor Yarkoyev stood out for the guests, who also had five points (3+2).
Three matches are scheduled in the RFL tournament next week. On October 26, “Rockets Sr” will host “Veterānus/DHLV”, on October 27, the leading team “Salibandīti” will visit “JeNo-2”, and on October 28, they will host “Veterānus/DHLV” in Ropaži.
