Justin Hubner Sure Has the Same Vision as Shin Tae-yong

Jakarta

Prospective Indonesian national team naturalized player Justin Hubner believes in the same vision as Shin Tae-yong. He said he had the same mentality as the Korean coach.

Justin Hubner is currently in Indonesia with other young players, namely Ivar Jenner. Both have also come to the PSSI Office in Jakarta, Monday (24/10/2022).

The Dutch player will play under the tutelage of Shin Tae-yong in the Indonesian national team if the process of becoming an Indonesian citizen (WNI) goes well. Justin Hubner is confident that he will have no problem following Shin Tae-yong’s instructions.

“I heard he likes players who are determined and want to win. I’m a winner, I always want to win at everything,” Justin Hubner told reporters.

He is part of Shin Tae-yong’s project to strengthen the U-20 Indonesia national team in the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup and the 2023 U-20 World Cup. For that, he is determined to be able to make an impact on Garuda Muda.

“I want to play a lot of matches with the Indonesian national team. I know the World Cup (U-20) is coming soon and I want us to be able to play well there. I want to make the Indonesian people proud,” he said.

He honestly admits that he doesn’t really understand the style of Indonesian football, including the national team. But he believes his experience in Europe can be a differentiator for Garuda.

Justin Hubner is currently listed as a Wolverhampton Wanderers U-21 player. He said his club did not prevent him from strengthening the Indonesian national team.

“I haven’t watched because of the time difference. But I know here playing hard, that’s what I like because I also play aggressively. That’s good for me,” said the 19-year-old player.

“The club supports me, it can be seen from them that they gave me permission to go to Indonesia, so that’s good because they always support me,” he said.
