Imperia, Saturday 22 October at the Campo d’Atletica the Sport Open Day

Bike, athletics, basketball, volleyball, martial arts and much more. The City of Imperia is ready to host this Saturday, 22 October, a great sport open day for children and teenagers from 5 to 14 years old.

Starting from 2.30 pm, at the renovated Lagorio Athletics Field in Borgo Prinoit will be possible to register for free at the stations specially set up at the two entrances of the field, after which the participants will receive the map of the sports and the “passport” which will be used to register the various tests with which they will compete.

The event, included in the events of “Waiting for the Centenary”, is organized by the Municipality of Imperia together with Coni Liguria and in collaboration with the local sports clubs (in total there will be 23), which will propose their respective activities. The Associazione Parenti @ttivi of Imperia and the LILT Imperia-Sanremo collaborated and will be present at the event with their own stand.

The event will also involve the boys of the IIS Ruffini Imperia – sports address section – in support of the organization.

Furthermore, the regional technical staff of Coni Liguria will propose four multidisciplinary play stations to present and promote the activities of the Coni Center: the place where not just one sport is practiced, but many sports activities, which allow to expand the motor baggage of young people. , refining the specific technical gestures related to the different disciplines involved.

During the event, the following will be awarded: the high performer of the Italian national athletics team, Marco Fassinotti, the historic Judo Master, Giorgio Oliva, the under 23 rowing world champion, Alice Ramella, and two young promises of athletics from Imperia. , Chiara Smeraldo and Oliver Mulas.

“As has become tradition, we have decided to include a moment of sport in the calendar of ‘Waiting for the Centenary’ because we are convinced that sport has become, and will increasingly be, a characteristic element of Imperia’s identity. With the mayor Scajola we shared the idea of ​​involving the different realities of the territory this year and of having particular attention to the youngest. Thus was born, with the excellent collaboration of Coni Liguria, which I thank, this opportunity for children and teenagers to try over 20 different disciplines in a single afternoon ”, comments the councilor for Sport, Simone Vassallo.
