[경기IN=이지현 기자] The ‘Hwaseong Citizens’ One Heart Sports Festival’, held after 4 years, was successfully completed on the 23rd at Hwaseong Sports Complex.
The event became a festival of unity and communication between citizens in name and reality, with 7,000 citizens, including athletes from 28 towns and villages, attending for two days on the 22nd and 23rd.
The competition consisted of 13 sports, including track and field, soccer, tennis, volleyball, table tennis, ssireum, archery, badminton, bowling, baduk, foot volleyball, gateball, and Korean archery.
Bongdam-eup took the overall championship, Paltan-myeon in second place, and Hyangnam-eup in third place.
In addition to the main game, various programs such as a cheerful athletic meet, wheelchair athletics, and a football event with Hwaseong FC were prepared and received a high response from the citizens.
Hwaseong Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun said, “It was a time for citizens to run together and harmonize after a long time,” said Hwaseong Mayor.
