Cup defender THW Kiel has confidently reached the 3rd round of the DHB cup competition. In the guest appearance with second division promoted 1. VfL Potsdam, the German handball record champion prevailed in the end with 38:23 (19:16) and walked easily and easily into the round of 16.

In front of 2050 spectators in the sold-out MBS Arena, Karl Wallinius (6) was the most successful thrower of the favored Schleswig-Holsteiners in the increasingly one-sided encounter, especially after the break. Five other players each scored four times for the guests. Max Christoph Beneke (6) and Karl Roosna (5) scored best on the side of the brave hosts, who held up well at half-time.
