Handball: PSG wins seriously in Bucharest in the Champions League

Paris SG signed a fourth victory in a row in the Handball Champions League, winning with authority in the hall of Dinamo Bucharest (29-35) on Wednesday during the 5th day.

The Parisians, authors of a faultless since their defeat in the opening to Veszprem (36-34), return at least temporarily to the level of the Hungarians in the lead (8 pts), who receive Magdebourg Thursday (6 pts). A success for Veszprem and they would thus widen a small gap in the race for the first two places, synonymous with a direct ticket to the quarter-finals. They will receive the Hungarians and the Germans during the return phase. In any case, PSG took a step closer to qualifying for the round of 16 (places 3 to 6) before two very affordable receptions (Porto and the Danes of GOG) by taking the measure of Bucharest from the end of the First period.

The Romanian club, trained by Spaniard Xavi Pascual and which has former French international Cédric Sorhaindo in its ranks, then paid for its failures against the pair of Parisian goalkeepers Jannick Green (10/27 in the end) and Andreas Palicka, and suffered the firepower of Elohim Prandi.

The left-back (9 goals from 11 attempts in total) scored five of PSG’s last six goals before the break, achieved with a six-length lead (16-22), against transparent Romanian goalkeepers (a single save in First period). After the break, the Parisians took an eight-point lead after a “roucoulette” from Polish pivot Kamil Syprzak (20-28, 30th) to put an end to all suspense.
