Franck Ribéry – Career officially ended – Sport

Former FC Bayern striker Franck Ribéry has now officially confirmed the end of his career: “The ball is resting. The feelings in me are not,” said the 39-year-old on Instagram. The Frenchman also posted a video with highlights of his career – to “tell all the fans that the time has come to retire from playing football.” As a result of his recent injury, the pain in his knees had increased: “I have no choice but to stop,” said Ribéry. After his big time in Munich from 2007 to 2019 – with the treble in 2013 as the highlight – he played in Italy for AC Fiorentina and most recently for US Salernitana. Ribéry could take on a post in management with the southern Italians.
