Bayern reissues controversial jersey!
A cult jersey returns!
In the mid-90s, a shirt stuck in the Bayern especially out: the away jersey in yellow-green-black colors.
For a total of three years (1993 to 1996), the Munich team wore the strange shirt, although most of the players hated the colorful shirt.
Thomas Helmer (57) revealed on “Instagram”: “No one on my team liked this canary jersey. Our team also survived this idiosyncratic color combination and became German Champion in 1993/1994. Everyone was happy when the jersey got dusty after only 2 seasons.”

And further: “Today I see it more relaxed – it even has almost “Ugly” cult potential.”
Now Adidas is reissuing the once hated jersey!
As the football portal “Footy Headlines” reports, the German company will release a new collection at the end of this year or early next year, which was inspired by the football jerseys of the past.
Also included: Bayern’s Jamaica jersey!
The players of the record champions will probably not wear the shirt on the pitch. The so-called “Icon Collection” is a lifestyle collection, so it should be worn more in everyday life. But it is possible that Bayern, for example, will warm up in a retro shirt.
Munich fans will soon be able to walk around in the curious Bayern colors. Maybe Helmer will strike too…
