FC Barcelona plays Clasico with the logo of rapper Drake on the chest | Primera Division

Barcelona will face Real Madrid this weekend in the Clasico with the logo of Canadian rapper Drake on the shirts. The logo with the owl replaces the logo of shirt sponsor Spotify, although the deal with the music streaming service is at the basis of the logo change.

Earlier this year, Barcelona teamed up with Spotify as a shirt sponsor. The Catalan club has an agreement with the Swedish streaming company until 2026. The stadium’s name was also renamed Spotify Camp Nou.

This weekend, the partnership between Barcelona and Spotify goes one step further. For the top match against Real Madrid, the Spotify logo will make way for the logo of Canadian rapper Drake.

The choice for Drake’s owl came after the rapper became the first artist to exceed 50 billion streams on Spotify.

“Our partnership with Spotify goes beyond a purely commercial relationship,” FC Barcelona said. “We want to connect two worlds that stir emotions – music and football.”
