Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto managed to advance smoothly to the semifinals of the Denmark Open 2022. Meeting Lu Ching-yao/Yang Po-han (Taiwan) in the quarterfinals, the Indonesian men’s doubles won 21-12, 21-15 in 36 minutes.
Playing at the Jyske Bank Arena, Friday (21/10), Fajar/Rian appeared convincing from the start of the first game. They always excel and do not give the opponent a chance to get up.
Leading 4-0 at the start, then approaching to 5-4, Fajar/Rian won six consecutive points to close the interval with a score of 11-4. After the break, Lu/Yang tried to catch up to 9-14, but the FajRi duo always managed to get away and eventually won 21-12.

In the second game, Fajar/Rian was dominant again at the start and took a 7-2 lead, but Lu/Yang closed the gap to 7-9. Even so, Fajar / Rian managed to maintain the advantage and lead 11-8 at the interval.
After the break, Fajar/Rian’s pace was getting harder and harder to stop Lu/Yang. The Indonesian double went up 16-10, 19-12, and finally closed the second game with a 21-15 victory.
With this result, Fajar/Rian are just waiting for the winner between Lee Yang/Lu Chen (Taiwan) vs. Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi (Malaysia) as their opponents in the semifinals of the Denmark Open 2022.
